Calyx at a BreathingRoom

Earlier this year, Mansi Daudkhane of Calyx Info used a Breathing Room at F.C. Road in Pune. We caught up with her later for a chat about her work, BreathingRoom and her experience working form home for extended periods of time.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself — your professional & educational experience?

I am an IT professional , with 9 years experience. have been navigating different roles and companies. My core expetise areas are Pre-sales, Project management, Quality Assurance and business development in Clinical research Industry.
I’m love being a ‘Hands-on’ mummy; my kiddo who turned two recently is the apple of my eye.

Can you tell me a little bit about Calyx?

Calyx is an IT Solutions company with strong focus on the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. We build innovative, custom IT solutions for our Clients to help optimize their business processes. Our clientele include some of the top Indian pharmaceutical companies and healthcare players.

What are some of the larger healthcare problems that you see in India today?

Some of the main problems faced by Indian healthcare system are accessibility and affordability of quality healthcare services and medicines affecting a large chunk of our population. Also lack of information, awareness and transparency are other major problems.

Tell us about your experience with BreathingRoom  — what did you use it for, and how did you find it useful compared to your other options?

I became aware of Breathing Room through my network of professional friends. Soon after, when I needed a place for a demo session with an Industry expert, I booked the premium space at FC Road.

The music was a little loud but they were happy to turn the volume down on request. I had a peaceful conversation and demonstration, accompanied with some good snack options. The best part was the privacy of the small cabin room with no noise & distractions unlike other cafes. The booking process was smooth and the staff very helpful. Not to forget, the ambiance was refreshing. I loved the place overall!

If you have any non-traditional work environment tips — either for remote working or work-from-home — we would love to share that with our readers.

I have been working from home for quite a while now, I  believe one thing you definitely miss out on is that small tea break with your colleagues; that can be really de-stressing on a heavy day. I ensure that I connect with my team more often and not stay strictly business 🙂
